CHRISTIAN TV OUTREACH IN LIMA, PERU
SIM is working with national churches in Peru to proclaim the gospel
via a
Christian television station in the capital of Lima, a city with more
than 8
million people.
SIM spokesman Ron Frazee says the station has received numerous positive
reports since it went on the air six months ago.
"Many people who are watching our telecasts are calling the churches
and some have
trusted in the Lord and are now attending church as a direct result of
Televida," he says.
Peruvian believers who operate the station, now on the air 12 hours a
day, hope to soon increase the coverage by installing a transmitter that
is twice as powerful as the present one.
