UCB for Herefordshire and Worcestershire

UCB UK has been proposed as one of the programme providers by both bidders for a new DAB multiplex for the Herefordshire and Worcestershire area.

Two companies have made application to Ofcom to set up and run this multiplex.

MuxCo Hereford & Worcester Limited is owned jointly by Murfin Media Limited, Town & Country Broadcasting Limited and MuxCo Limited and is proposing to provide eight local digital sound programme services, in addition to BBC Hereford & Worcester. A network of three transmitters, reaching 79.7% of the adult population, will open in September 2008 with full service available within nine months of commencement. .

Now Digital Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of GCap Media plc and is proposing to provide six local digital sound programme services, in addition to BBC Hereford & Worcester, to be fully operational by September 2008. A network of three transmitters will reach 82.5% of the adult population.
