Premier listeners petition Ofcom
Premier Radio has delivered over 70,000 letters from their listeners to the head office of broadcasting regulator Ofcom, requesting that National Grid are awarded a national digital multiplex licence which will include Premier Christian Radio in the programme provider line-up.
Should National Grid win this bid, Premier's programming will become available via DAB to the majority of the UK population, the first time that Christian radio has been so widely available on mobile and portable radio receivers in the UK.
Premier Radio is a London based Christian broadcaster geared primarily to serving a south-east England audience, although it's output can also be heard throughout the UK via satellite and the Freeview terrestrial digital television system.
