r music tv - Newsletter - September 2006

Below is a snippet from our previous e-Newsletter which was published on Aug 17, 2006 at around 7:00 PM.

"Help keep r music tv On Air - We have recently been made aware that the satellite costs are increasing and we do not have any funds left to keep the channel going and IT WILL BE COMING OFF THE AIR IN OCTOBER."

The exact date we were destined to come off-air was Wednesday 27th September 2006. We had it penned in our diaries, BUT with a question mark after it, believing God was in full control.

Well its the day after (Thursday 28th September 2006), and if you are a regular r music tv viewer you have noticed the channel is still on-air.

r music tv was birthed 6 months ago and has already experienced; rapid growth, a near death experience and restoration.

Here in a nutshell is r-testimony.

r - Testimony

Birth
In April 2006 a channel was born and it was called "r music tv" the FIRST EVER CHRISTIAN MUSIC CHANNEL IN THE WORLD right alongside other MAINSTREAM MUSIC CHANNELS.

r- Growth

After the launch, r music tv grew from strength to strength reaching millions via SKY, The WEB, and cable companies in Germany & Holland.

Through flyers, Word of Mouth, Street Teams and our recent London tube campaign (Tottenham court rd, Brixton, Camden Town and Old Street) r music tv's following has been increasing daily. We have had some amazing testimonies and feedback from both Christians and non-Christians.

Near Death

As you read in the previous newsletter, Revelation TV had agreed to support r music tv for 6 months and after that r music tv had to show evidence that it could support itself. There was a month left and there was no signs of r music tv being able to survive without the support.

BUT during this "unsure" time there was still a heart beat and some heard it and took ACTION!!!!!

Restoration (still on-air)

It was encouraging to see the contribution of those who wanted to see r music tv continue and with all the odd £5's to £500 it was clear we can all work together to make this channel happen.

With satellite renewal time fastly approaching one very generous giver donated enough to renew the contract. So praise God we have been restored and can see God's hand upon r music tv.

But of course we still need to raise a steady income to keep the channel on air. We are focusing on 2 areas to make this happen in the coming months.

r music tv PRESENTATION

During September we have been busy behind the scenes putting together a presentation to be taken to churches.

This presentation highlights a problem (Mainstream Music Television), a solution (r music tv) and how you can be part of the solution to help solve the problem.

It's 25 minutes long and clearly communicates not just THE NEED for r music tv, but also educates many about the power of music television and the influence its having on young people.

We are ready and willing to do some foot work. Its family business and we want to present this to our family (The Church). Can you help? Can you connect us with your Pastor to arrange 25 minutes, to share with your Church the potential this channel has in reaching the so called "MTV Generation" and how we need them to be part of it.

This truly is a team project.

On behalf of all the r music tv team, we'll like to thank everyone that has supported us in anyway, whether its through prayer, spreading the word, distributing flyers, donations etc, no matter how small we really appreciate it.

The potential this channel has in reaching the lost/hurting, the testimonies, the support and the vision God has given us is what fuels us and keeps our engines running.
